This week’s Top Chef episode had it all: spice, technique, and an elimination round that left contestants skating on thin ice. The Jamaican patty Quickfire Challenge put the chefs' pastry skills to the test—some nailed the perfect flaky crust, while others struggled to balance flavors. Then, the high-stakes elimination round took an unexpected twist as the chefs were tasked with creating cold dishes inspired by ice hockey terminology.
Some chefs pulled off show-stopping plates that wowed the judges, while others delivered dishes that fell flat. With so many moving pieces in this challenge, it’s time for a full breakdown with my guest, Top Chef Season 21 finalist Chef Savannah Miller. We discuss which flavors hit the mark, what made some dishes championship-worthy, and the moment that sealed the fate of one chef.
